Fixed Vs Tracking system (continued from the previous post)

Firstgreen Consulting Pvt Ltd Analysis on output of the panels with and without trackers

1 MW solar PV power project(Rajasthan) using CIGS technology with fixed angle of inclination 15 degree(fixed) panels. Panels are placed in a SE direction(standard direction for India geological conditions). This project based on business model of Feed In Tariff(FIT).Unit price – 8.02 INR.

Total Energy Injected into grid – 4878kWh/day

4878*8.02=39121.56 -> without using tracker.

1 MW solar PV power project(Rajasthan) using CIGS technology with single tracker.Panels are placed in a SE direction(standard direction for India geological conditions). This project based on business model of Feed In Tariff(FIT).Unit price – 8.02 INR.

Total Energy Injected into grid – 5902kWh/day

5902*8.02=47334.04 ->  using single tracker.

Total Energy Injected into grid – 6782kWh/day

over all analysis

with out tracker – 4878 kWh/day

with single tracker – 5902kWh/day

with double tracker – 6782kWh/day

life of the solar power plant – 25 years

total average sunny days – 320

life of the plant in days  ->320*25=8000 days

lets us assume that tariff is constant for throughout the life of the plant – 8.02INR

without tracker – 4878 kWh/day * 8000 = 39024000

39024000 units * 8.02 =312972480 INR

with single tracker – 5902kWh/day*8000=47216000

47216000 units*8.02=378672320 INR

with double tracker – 6782kWh/day*8000=54256000

54256000 units*8.02=435133120 INR

By using single tracker 20% more (than fixed panels),  we can generate the units.

By using double tracker 39%more(than fixed panels), we can generate the units.

Few more analysis part to be continued in the next posting …..
