Voltage Levels for Rooftop solar system

Indian electricity system is yet to formalise the policies for connecting the rooftop systems to the grid. However, Internationally the  rooftop systems are connected on LV supply at 440 V or 11 KV on the distribution lines. Hoem systems up to 10 kW capacity are connected to a single phase supply and electricity which is surplus is only fed to the grid through the inverter system. The larges rooftop systems at commercial buildings are generally in the range of 100 kW -1 MW size are connected to the grid through a three phase inverter at a voltage level of 11 kV. The large scale systems which are 1 MW and above are generally connected to the grid through  11kV/33 kV/66kv substations.
