An 89 year old military veteran Raymond Green exhibited that if there’s a will there’s a way. Since quite a while speculations were there that wind farms are peril to flying species, a concern raised by wildlife conservatives. But Mr Green showed that wind farms are capable of generating clean energy and not threaten the flying species, by designing a bladeless wind turbine.
A CWP (Catching wind power) compressed air enclosed wind turbine eliminates the need for blades on wind turbine.Instead of blade being rotated by the wind, the innovation is this design boasts a patented inner Compression Cone Technology, which is believed to absorb compress the incoming air to create power at the turbine which in turn will generate electricity. This also it makes essentially noise free. Also they are light and portable.
This design awaits test results and its scope in commercial use. Also it will be interesting to see what effect this might have on the cost of turbine.Source: Inhabitat.com
