India in top five countries having highest investment attractiveness for PV-EPIA Report

The recently published EPIA report “Unlocking the sunbelt potential of photovoltaic “ranks India China Mexico, Singapore & Australia as the countries having highest PV attractiveness from the resource point of view. While Australia has been consider as the country having highest investment attractiveness in solar PV followed by Singapore & china, there are few more countries such as Mexico, Malaysia, Chile, South Africa, and Israel which also have higher investment attractiveness for solar PV for the Country. India has already reached in the category of top five countries having highest solar installations, with an installed capacity of 1.7 GW. It is accepted that favourable government policies offering long term PPA’s will bring investment to the country and make it attractive to the European & American investors which have access to the cheaper finance.
